Ultimate Crock Pot Lamb Shanks

Ingredients:- • 1 teaspoon salt
- • 4 cups beef broth
- • 1/4 cup onion, finely chopped
- • 3 garlic cloves, crushed
- • About 1.5 tablespoon black pepper
- • 2 teaspoons ground ginger
- • 1 teaspoon red chili flakes
- • 1/4 cup coconut oil
- • About 2.5 tablespoons basil leaves, finely chopped
- • 2 medium lamb shanks
- • 1 tablespoon oregano leaves
- • 2 teaspoons thyme leaves
- • Zest of 1 lemon
- First of all, please make sure you have all the ingredients available. In a medium or large skillet over medium-high heat, melt the coconut oil and fry the lamb shanks until golden brown.
- Now transfer to a bowl.
- This step is important. In the same skillet, fry the garlic, onion, ginger and all the spices, mixing well. Then add the lamb shanks & the spice mixture to the crock pot along with the broth.
- One thing remains to be done now. Now cook properly on high for about 3 to 4 hours.
- Finally serve warm.
